Currently, there are different programs in Spain that reward actions regarding energy rehabilitation and reduction of energy consumption from non-renewable sources, among which is the replacement of windows and enclosures or the installation of photovoltaic self-consumption and aerothermal systems. Thanks to them, you can benefit from up to 52% aid via Next Generation Funds and aid in deducting personal income tax, for which it is an essential requirement to have the corresponding energy certificates that record the energy impact derived from the rehabilitation.

For example, more than 2/3 of the works carried out that have requested aid management have already benefited from the total invested in the rehabilitation until 20% with a maximum annual base of €5,000, as long as the reduction of the The total number of cooling and heating demand indicators is at least 7%, with the average amount deducted being €1,000.

How can you benefit from personal income tax deduction aid?

Renovations that improve energy efficiency in homes can benefit from two types of aid deductible from the full personal income tax fee, as long as they contribute to achieving improvements in energy efficiency, as is the case of replacing inefficient windows with efficient ones. that reduce energy consumption for refrigeration and air conditioning.

What requirements must you meet to be eligible for it? Energy rehabilitation from being carried out in the habitual residence, or intended for rent, not being eligible for the application of the deduction those reforms carried out in parking spaces, storage rooms, gardens, parks, swimming pools or facilities, nor in the part of the affected home for the performance of an economic activity. In addition, the works carried out must impact an improvement in energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption for air conditioning and refrigeration between 7% and 30%. These improvements must be represented in the corresponding initial and subsequent energy certificates after the renovation carried out on the property.

Does changing windows impact the reduction of energy consumption? Thanks to the replacement of windows and enclosures, we can reduce the energy demand for cooling and air conditioning by 7%, since it allows us to insulate our home more efficiently, avoiding heat loss and an increase in temperature.
