A terrace enclosure can be a unique opportunity to gain meters in your home and create a cozy and renewed space. Borja and Laura, clients of Grupo Afandecor, made this decision during the renovation of their home and have achieved a larger living room that has a notable impact on their quality of life. Likewise, they undertook the replacement of all the windows in the house, since the old ones were made of iron and had poor levels of insulation and thermal transmittance.
Assisted by the reformer who carried out the work in their home, Borja and Laura trusted Grupo Afandecor to close the terrace and replace the windows. Together with our commercial department, they opted for Cortizo aluminum profiles, characterized by high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation. The location of the home, in a central area of the capital, made it necessary to have high-performance windows that would prevent the filtering of outside noise and facilitate the comfort of the home's inhabitants.

Firstly, the room was small in size and the clients were clear that they wanted to gain space and create a new, more pleasant and comfortable environment. To do this, they chose to hire Afandecor to enclose half of the terrace, about three meters wide, with COR-70 series windows with hidden sashes, tilt-and-turn opening system and acoustic chamber glass with Argon gas and Planitherm XN system. Furthermore, to exit to the part of the exterior terrace that has been maintained, the clients asked Afandecor to install a door, also from the COR-70 series by Aluminios Cortizo. In both cases, they accepted Afandecor's commercial proposal, which consisted of additionally installing motorized blinds thanks to the technology offered by the SOLUS 10Nm motors from the Somfy brand.

Just like Laura and Borja did, you can also gain space for your living room or bedroom if you undertake the enclosure of a terrace with Grupo Afandecor. Our commercial technicians are specialists in this type of renovation and will advise you to achieve the best results in terms of space gain and insulation.
For the kitchen, with views of the interior patio of the house, the clients chose a two-leaf tilt-and-turn window, from the same series as the rest of the installation, but with translucent glass that allowed them to maintain the privacy of the interior of the house without give up natural light to illuminate the space. In short, Grupo Afandecor adapted the entire material selection process to the needs of the end client, with the aim of obtaining a completely personalized solution.

Finally, in the master bedroom, the COR-70 aluminum profiles and glass with the Planitherm XN system were repeated, seeking the comfort of the tilt-and-turn opening system, thermal insulation for the colder months and acoustic insulation to guarantee rest.

As this case of maximum satisfaction demonstrates, replacing windows can transform the layout of a home and impact the quality of life of its inhabitants. Not only for aesthetic reasons, but installing high-performance windows with higher levels of energy efficiency has a direct effect on energy bills and the comfort of daily life.
